You might also want to consider the MAC slip-on. The Dennis Kirk catalog lists one for the Savage for $102US. I had one on my Honda CB400F, and it worked just fine. Nice sound, and no rust or bluing after 7 years. It's got a single, fixed baffle, so no tuning, unlike the Supertrapp, but if you're on a budget, it may be the way to go.
